Food Intelligence
Log food, check a choice before you eat it, and understand calories, protein, nutrients and food quality in context.
Calories are useful, but they are only one signal. Chick keeps food, weight, activity, sleep and the structure of the day in one place, so each number has context rather than standing alone.
That context can matter before a choice, while the day is unfolding, and later when a pattern begins to emerge. The aim is simple: make the information easier to act on, not merely easier to collect.
We're two brothers who have shared life's challenges from the beginning. For years, one of us struggled to lose weight and keep it off, while the other witnessed every attempt, setback and frustration firsthand.
Determined to find a better solution, we both pursued biomedical engineering, driven by the desire to understand the problem and build something that could genuinely help.
Together, we created Chick — the solution we wished had existed. As one brother lost weight, we continued testing and refining Chick through real-life experience.
Eventually, we launched it so others could benefit too.
Colour, depth and movement give Chick a presence that feels immediately familiar. The gauges are the clearest expression: each one alive in its own way, turning the state of the day into something you can recognise almost before you read it.
From logging a meal to reading progress, that character carries through the rest of Chick. The experience feels coherent from one moment to the next — calm where it should be, expressive where it helps, and unmistakably Chick.
Log what you ate and Chick can break the meal into calories, protein, nutrients and food quality while keeping it inside the context of the rest of the day. Everyday descriptions, photos and voice can be used where the feature supports them.
Food Choice Guide moves that intelligence earlier: use a photo or description to think through a choice before it becomes the record.
Chick places weight beside food and activity so the direction matters more than one day’s number. Daily noise stays visible without being allowed to become the whole story.
When enough evidence accumulates, auto-calibration can use that recent history to revisit target guidance instead of assuming the original estimate should stay correct forever.
Meals are affected by schedules, shopping, social plans, sleep and the tasks competing for attention. Chick keeps those practical pressures visible instead of treating nutrition as if it happens in isolation.
Calendar, daily tasks, groceries and social meal planning turn intention into something the day can actually support. Over time, the same record can also make recurring situations easier to notice.
The product is broad, but its structure is deliberate: record and interpret choices, read body signals, make the plan practical, review what repeats, and use AI where real-life input is messy.
