Scope
Last updated: 14 July 2026. This Policy forms part of the Chick Terms of Use. It applies to paid subscriptions, checkout acknowledgements, billing support, failed payments, refunds, cancellations, chargebacks, invoices, receipts, and related payment records for Chick.
If there is a conflict between this Policy and a general statement elsewhere, the more specific payment, subscription, or refund term applies for that subject, subject always to mandatory law.
Plans, prices, and what you buy
Chick may offer a paid subscription plan and may later change or add plans. The plan name, price, currency, taxes, billing period, renewal timing, and key payment details are shown before payment or in the relevant checkout/account flow.
A subscription gives access to the relevant digital Chick service for the subscription period. It does not give ownership of Chick, permanent access, unlimited AI processing, unlimited storage, unlimited uploads, guaranteed availability, or a guaranteed number of outputs unless expressly stated in the checkout or plan description.
We may update features, content, AI behaviour, model availability, fair-use controls, provider arrangements, and service design over time. We do not have to publish operational thresholds, usage controls, security rules, or operational limits.
Prices, currencies, taxes, plan names, plan features, included services, allowances, promotional offers, and payment terms may change over time. Unless we expressly promise otherwise, a promotional price, discount, feature set, or plan structure does not guarantee future availability.
We may correct pricing, currency, tax, eligibility, plan, or display errors. If an error affects your purchase or renewal, we may cancel the transaction, correct the affected record, or contact you with the correct information before continuing, subject to mandatory law.
Subscriptions and automatic renewal
Unless the checkout or account screen says otherwise, Chick subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
By starting a subscription, you authorise us and our payment provider to charge your payment method for recurring subscription fees, applicable taxes, renewal payments, and related amounts shown to you.
You are responsible for making sure your payment details remain valid and that you cancel before renewal if you do not want another charge. A renewal charge may be processed shortly before, on, or after the renewal date depending on payment-provider timing.
Trials and promotions
There is no free trial unless a trial is expressly shown to you in the checkout, account, or promotional offer. We are not required to provide a trial, grace period, discount, refund, extension, or promotional price unless we expressly offer one.
Any promotion may have extra terms, eligibility rules, territory limits, payment-method requirements, renewal rules, and expiry dates. Unless stated otherwise, the subscription renews at the normal price after the promotional period.
Trials and promotional offers may be limited by time, user, account, device, payment method, country, eligibility, availability, or other rules shown with the offer or reasonably applied to prevent misuse.
We may refuse, revoke, restrict, or end trials, discounts, promotions, or promotional access where we reasonably believe there is misuse, duplicate account creation, fraud, payment risk, or abuse.
Immediate digital access
Chick is supplied as a digital service. During checkout you may be asked to expressly request immediate access after payment confirmation and to acknowledge that Chick may begin supplying the digital service before the end of any cancellation or cooling-off period that may otherwise apply.
Where applicable law allows, if you request immediate access and Chick begins supplying the digital service or paid features, you acknowledge that you may lose statutory cancellation or cooling-off rights that might otherwise apply. Nothing in this Policy removes rights that mandatory law does not allow us to remove.
Subject to mandatory law, refunds are not owed simply because you later change your mind after requesting immediate access, receiving access, or using Chick.
Consumer cancellation and cooling-off rights
Depending on where you live and how you buy Chick, you may have statutory cancellation or cooling-off rights for online purchases. Where those rights apply, we will respect rights that mandatory law does not allow us to exclude.
Where the law allows, if you expressly request immediate access to a digital service and acknowledge that cancellation rights may be lost once supply or performance begins, you may lose or reduce cancellation or cooling-off rights after Chick begins supplying the paid digital service or paid features.
Nothing in this Policy removes mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be removed. Subject to those rights, refunds remain limited as described in this Policy and in the checkout/account flow.
How to cancel
You must cancel through the billing-management route made available in your Chick account unless we expressly provide another method. For the current web-billed model, this normally means opening chick.health in a browser, signing in to your Chick account, opening Profile & Targets, and choosing Manage billing.
Subscription management is not available inside the Chick iPhone app downloaded from the Apple App Store. Deleting or uninstalling the iPhone app, removing it from your device, logging out, deleting a shortcut, closing a browser tab, not using Chick, or stopping use of Chick does not by itself cancel your subscription.
To avoid renewal, you must cancel before the next renewal date. If you cancel after a renewal charge has been created, authorised, captured, invoiced, or processed, the cancellation normally applies to future renewals only.
If cancellation is scheduled for the end of the current paid period, your access normally continues until that period ends unless your account is suspended, deleted, terminated, restricted for breach, or otherwise lawfully restricted.
If you cannot access Manage billing, contact support@chick.health promptly with the email address used for your Chick account, any billing email used at checkout, the payment date, amount, and receipt or invoice reference where available.
Account deletion and billing
Account deletion, app deletion, logout, or non-use are different from subscription cancellation. If you request account deletion while a paid subscription is active, we may need to cancel, expire, revoke, or otherwise handle the subscription and retain limited commercial records before or during deletion.
Deleting your Chick account may remove or revoke app access. It does not create an automatic refund for past subscription charges unless we expressly approve a refund or mandatory law requires one.
We may retain limited billing, legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute, support, and deletion-confirmation records after account deletion where necessary or lawful.
Refunds
Except where mandatory law requires otherwise or we expressly approve a refund in writing, payments are final and non-refundable. This includes renewal charges, unused time, partial periods, non-use, accidental renewal, forgotten cancellation, dissatisfaction, change of mind, device problems, app deletion, logout, failure to read reminders or emails, or failure to cancel before the renewal date.
We do not usually provide partial, pro-rata, goodwill, or retrospective refunds where the digital service was available, access was granted, immediate access was requested, the subscription renewed according to the terms shown, or the issue could reasonably have been managed through the billing-management route.
AI uncertainty, food-estimate differences, nutrition-estimate differences, feature changes, fair-use controls, temporary unavailability, support delays, or ordinary product limitations do not automatically entitle you to a refund, unless mandatory law says otherwise.
Any refund we choose to issue is discretionary, does not admit liability, does not waive our rights, and does not require us to issue the same or similar refund again. A refund does not automatically cancel a recurring subscription unless we expressly say it does or the payment provider records it that way.
Failed payments, payment updates, and access
If a payment fails, is reversed, is disputed, is not authorised, or your payment method expires, we may retry payment, ask you to update payment details, restrict access, suspend features, cancel the subscription, or terminate paid access.
You remain responsible for amounts lawfully due. Payment-provider timing, bank processing, card-network rules, fraud checks, and authentication requirements may affect whether a payment succeeds or renews.
Chargebacks and disputes
If you believe there is a billing mistake, duplicate charge, unauthorised payment, refund issue, or cancellation issue, contact support@chick.health promptly before raising a payment dispute where practical. Please include your Chick account email, billing email if different, payment date, amount, receipt, invoice, and explanation.
A chargeback, card dispute, bank complaint, or payment-provider dispute does not by itself cancel your subscription, delete your account, or prove that a refund is due. We may restrict access while a payment is disputed or reversed.
Where a payment is disputed, we may provide relevant evidence to payment providers, banks, card networks, legal advisers, insurers, regulators, courts, or other appropriate parties. Evidence may include checkout acknowledgements, accepted legal versions, payment references, invoice or receipt information, subscription status, cancellation records, billing-portal evidence, confirmation emails, support/refund communications, and limited service-access evidence.
Billing confirmations and commercial evidence
Chick may send, store, and rely on billing confirmations, subscription records, checkout acknowledgements, legal-version records, invoice or receipt references, payment-provider records, billing-portal records, cancellation records, failed-payment records, refund records, support messages, and limited access or delivery evidence.
These records may be used to operate billing, provide support, investigate mistakes, respond to refund requests, defend chargebacks and payment disputes, meet accounting or tax duties, enforce the Terms, and protect Chick from fraud or misuse.
Where a payment provider, bank, card network, regulator, court, insurer, adviser, or other appropriate party requests or requires evidence, we may provide relevant commercial evidence while seeking to avoid unnecessary disclosure of private wellness content.
Price changes and feature changes
We may change prices, billing periods, plan names, features, and payment terms from time to time. Where required, we will provide notice or obtain consent before applying a material change to an existing subscription.
If you do not agree with a future price or subscription change, your remedy is to cancel before the change or next renewal takes effect, unless mandatory law gives you another remedy.
Taxes
Prices may include or exclude taxes depending on how they are shown and how the payment provider calculates them. You are responsible for applicable taxes unless the checkout says they are included or the law requires otherwise.
Billing support
Billing questions should be sent to support@chick.health or through the Contact page. For faster help, include the account email, billing email if different, payment date, amount, currency, invoice or receipt link, and a short explanation.
